CE Marking – Product Certification

Product Certification & CE Labeling in the Voluntary and Mandatory Sector

CE Marking

The CE mark represents the conformity of the product to the requirements of the European Community Directives. The CE mark when attached to products is a declaration that the product complies with all applicable EU Directives and has completed the appropriate conformity assessment procedures. The CE marking has to be affixed by the manufacturer or his agent established within the Community. The procedure for the affixing of the CE marking follows the principles of the New Approach Directives. As a general rule, all New Approach Directives require the CE marking. Since all products are covered by New Approach directives, they should have a CE mark. The CE mark is not a trademark; neither is intended to serve commercial purposes. It is a sign of Safety and Conformity to the EU Directives Q-CERT is a Notified Body with Notification Number 1617 and has the expertise and provides CE certification services to the following Directives:

For each of the inspections referred above, and in order to maintain the validity of the certificates, the equipment (lifts, hoists, pressure equipment, etc.) must be subjected to periodic inspections through which safe operation is ensured.
