AH-DLL GROW serves as a private add-on to the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard, catering to producers supplying the Dutch retailer Albert Heijn and/or the Belgian retailer Delhaize. This specialized add-on focuses on farm-level risk management, specifically addressing hygiene, residue monitoring, and the prevention of foreign body contamination.

Developed in response to escalating consumer expectations regarding product quality and food safety, AH-DLL GROW assesses producers’ risk management practices and raises awareness of critical issues like unhygienic working conditions, residues from plant protection products, and contamination risks from foreign bodies or substances. Tailored for fruit and vegetable production, the add-on is audited alongside the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard, streamlining the auditing process. FoodPLUS GmbH, in collaboration with Albert Heijn and Delhaize, crafted this private solution to minimize redundancy and enhance flexibility for suppliers in selecting audit methods for their sites.

AH-DLL GROW is exclusively available to individual producers and producer groups supplying fruit and vegetable products, either directly or through their suppliers, to Albert Heijn in the Netherlands or Delhaize in Belgium. All participating producers must possess certification in Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) for fruit and vegetables, as the AH-DLL GROW audit builds upon existing IFA requirements.

The add-on consists of principles and criteria (P&Cs), graded as either Major Must (requiring 100% compliance) or Recommendation. The AH-DLL GROW checklist includes 29 P&Cs, audited in conjunction with those outlined in the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard for fruit and vegetables.
