The ISO 14064-1 represents a standard concerning the recording and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions from activities implemented by any organization, regardless of the size or type of activity. This standard belongs to the ISO 14064 family, which also includes parts 2 and 3.
ISO 14064-1 provides guiding principles and requirements for the collection and recording of information related to greenhouse gas emissions. Within the framework of the standard, guidelines are included for identifying the operational and organizational boundaries of the report, as well as methods for calculating emissions.
The purpose of ISO 14064-1 is to provide a reference point for organizations wishing to report their emissions and ensure the comparability and reliability of their statements.
