A GFSI Benchmarked standard, sets out the requirements for the manufacture, processing and packing of:

  • Processed foods, both own brand and customer-branded.
  • Raw materials or ingredients for use by food related companies.
  • Primary products, such as fruit and vegetables and from animal origin.
  • Pet foods for domestic animals and animal feed.

Its intention is to help any food business reach a full understanding of the products it produces, manufactures and distributes, and have systems in place to identify and control the hazards that are significant for product safety, authenticity, legality and quality.

Module 11: Meat Supply Chain Assurance (Non Accredited)
Implemented and audited together with BRCGS Food, is designed for meat processing companies that wish to demonstrate to customers an increased transparency of their meat supply chains and verification of authenticity. This is achieved through an in-depth verification of traceability of the meat supply chain and processes to prevent contamination between meat species.
Module 13: Meating FSMA Requirements (Non Accredited)
Implemented and audited together with BRCGS Food, is specifically designed to assist companies in understanding, meeting, and providing verification to customers that those prescriptive elements within the Preventive Controls portion of FSMA are detailed in the audit and report. This preparedness assessment is essential for any company currently, or interested in, doing business with US-based customers.
