In general, ISO 45001:
Helps an organization achieve desired results, including:
Continuous improvement of the occupational health and safety management system,
Compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, and
Achievement of specific objectives.
Applies to every organization regardless of its activity and for the health and safety risks of operations under its control, considering factors such as the organization’s operating context and the needs and expectations of its workers and other interested parties.
Does not address issues such as product safety, material damage, or environmental impacts beyond the risks to workers and other relevant parties.
ISO/PAS 45005 Guidelines for safe working during the COVID-19 pandemic
The ISO/PAS 45005 is a guide for implementing measures to ensure the protection of workers against the risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The assessment process for compliance with the ISO/PAS 45005 guide requires that the organization is already certified or has simultaneously applied for certification according to the requirements of the ISO 45001 standard.
Upon successful completion of the assessment process, a relevant certification is issued by Q-CERT.
